Aliante is a straight shot west along Ann Road to our door, roughly twelve minutes with no freeway. Ann Road runs the whole way, so it is one of the simplest drives to the gym from anywhere in the north valley. A number of our members come from the Aliante and north Las Vegas side, and the reason is usually the same: the instruction is worth the twelve minutes and the alternative was thirty.

Training here from Aliante
Aliante is a big master planned community with plenty of youth activities, but Brazilian Jiu Jitsu specifically is thin on the ground on that side. The kids class and the adult class run back to back on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, so a family can do the drive once rather than twice. Wednesday is the exception, since the 6:00pm slot that night is MMA rather than kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Saturday open mat, which starts at 10:00am, is an easy weekend addition when the weeknight schedule is tight.

Is it worth driving from Aliante when there are closer gyms?
That is a fair question and the honest answer is that you should compare instruction, not mileage. What you are getting here is a black belt under Robert Drysdale teaching the class himself, on a Team Zenith curriculum, in a room built around families rather than competitors. Take the two free classes here and take a trial wherever else you are considering. If the closer option is genuinely better for your family, take it. We would rather you make that comparison than sign up blind.
