Skye Canyon is one of the fastest growing corners of the valley and it is chronically short on the things established neighborhoods take for granted, martial arts academies among them. Fight For Us is roughly a ten minute drive from most of Skye Canyon: down Skye Canyon Park Drive to the 215, or straight down Grand Teton and across, to W Ann Road. For a neighborhood where most activities mean getting on a freeway, that is close.

Skye Canyon skews young and family heavy, which lines up with our kids program more than almost any neighborhood we serve. The kids class runs early enough in the evening that a family gets home, fed and into a normal bedtime on a school night, which is the practical constraint that decides whether a martial arts commitment survives. If both a parent and a child want to train, the adult class runs immediately after, so the whole thing is one trip. That stacking holds Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; on Wednesday the 6:00pm slot is MMA rather than kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and the adult class still runs at 7:00.

How long is the drive from Skye Canyon to the gym?
Plan on roughly ten minutes off peak, coming down Skye Canyon Park Drive to the 215 and out at Ann Road, or straight across on Grand Teton and Ann. Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu runs 6:00 to 7:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, adults 7:00 to 8:30pm Monday to Friday, and Wednesday's 6:00pm slot is MMA rather than kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Doors open from 5:00pm, and the early slot lands before the worst of the evening backup, so the drive in is usually easier than the drive to almost anything in Summerlin.

Skye Canyon has the park, the Skye Center and the usual youth sports leagues, but dedicated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction is not something the neighborhood has yet.
